Operational Delivery Overview
BellyBox specializes in the fresh, daily delivery of home-cooked tiffins. Because tiffins must arrive fresh and hot for specific meal times, we operate on a structured, slot-based hyper-local shipping system.
1. Delivery Slots & Windows
To align with daily meal schedules, deliveries are executed strictly within the following slot windows, which are defined per vendor:

*Note: Standard platform skip cutoff is strictly 3 hours prior to the slot delivery window start.
2. Shipping Radius & Delivery Address Limits
- Delivery Radius: To guarantee hot and timely deliveries, each home cook kitchen operates inside a strict hyper-local radius of 3 to 5 kilometers. You will only be able to view and subscribe to kitchens that cover your active geo-coordinates.
- One Location per Subscription: A tiffin subscription covers delivery to a single registered address. If you require tiffins to be delivered to two different locations (e.g., home on weekends, office on weekdays), you must coordinate these changes via the app dashboard before the slot cutoff or create separate subscriptions.
- Address Changes: Address changes are permitted and must be logged at least 12 hours in advance of the delivery slot. If an address change is submitted after the cutoff, the meal will be delivered to the original address.
3. Tiffin Packaging & Safety Seals
All meals are packaged in food-grade, leak-proof, and microwave-safe containers. Each tiffin is secured with our signature branded sticker.
⚠️ SAFETY WARNING: If the tiffin sticker is torn, broken, or tampered with upon arrival, please DO NOT accept the delivery. Reject the package and immediately contact Customer Operations at hello@bellybox.in. We will instantly arrange a manual refund or wallet compensation.
4. Shipping Charges & Taxes
- All shipping/delivery fees are calculated based on the distance between the home cook kitchen and your delivery location.
- Delivery fees are shown as a distinct itemized line in your subscription invoice prior to checkout.
- GST (if applicable) is calculated on food and delivery components based on standard government guidelines.
5. Weather & Force Majeure Disruptions
While we maintain a target SLA of **90% on-time delivery**, severe weather (such as heavy monsoon floods), political strikes, or other force majeure events in India may cause delayed shipments.
In the rare event that a slot delivery is cancelled entirely by our logistics network due to safety disruptions, the meal status will be set to `skipped_by_vendor` and a full slot **Meal-credit** will be added to your account wallet immediately.
