Cancellation & Refunds

These guidelines explain how cancellation requests, subscription adjustments, and refund escalations are handled across the BellyBox platform.

Platform Role & Responsibilities

BellyBox operates as a technology facilitator connecting independent home chefs with nearby subscribers. All offerings listed on the platform are owned and fulfilled by the respective creators. BellyBox does not own, prepare, or dispatch any offerings and therefore does not authorise or approve cancellations on behalf of a creator. However, we provide workflows, communication tools, and payment rails that support transparent resolution.

Requesting a Cancellation

  • Subscribers can initiate a cancellation from their BellyBox dashboard or by contacting the creator directly.
  • Creators review each request and confirm acceptance timelines based on their operating commitments.
  • BellyBox support can be notified at hello@bellybox.in for mediation if a response is pending beyond 48 hours.

Refund Assessment

  • Refund eligibility is defined by each creator’s published subscription policy.
  • Once a cancellation is approved, the creator authorises the reversal and BellyBox processes the digital payout.
  • Refund timelines depend on the payment method but typically reflect within 5–7 business days.

Non-Refundable Scenarios

The following situations may fall outside refund eligibility unless otherwise stated in the creator’s terms:

  • Requests received after the creator’s published cut-off window for plan modifications or pauses.
  • Digital add-ons or one-time services that have been consumed, accessed, or transferred to third parties.
  • Cases where the subscriber account shows repeated policy violations or fraudulent activity.

Escalation Path

If a subscriber and creator are unable to arrive at a resolution within 5 business days, BellyBox will undertake a platform review. We may request supporting evidence (messages, transaction IDs, plan details) before recommending the next steps or administratively cancelling the subscription. BellyBox reserves the right to suspend accounts that repeatedly violate community trust or payment integrity.
